last week during Transport Logistics in Munich, Germany, Polet Airlines promoted its new cargo carrier IL-96-400 to the public. Mr. Anatoly Karpov, General Director of Polet Airlines together with Dr Michael Kerkloh (right), CEO of Munich Airport, Maxim Klushin, Director of Munich office and Stan Wright were discussing future operation. Fuel efficiency, payload factor, cargo compartment volume made an attractive solution for most markets. Only fuel consumption compared to Boeing-747-400F is around 30% lower.
Beside commercial operation that will start in autumn 2009, there was high interest for cooperation which gave Polet Airlines indication to extend the fleet by acquisition three additional IL-96-400ΠΆ aircraft by 2010-2011.
