On August 29th 2003 Polet Cargo Airlines celebrated
its 15th year as one of the world’s leading outsize
and heavyweight air cargo carriers. To mark the occasion
Polet invited clients, colleagues and representatives of
the air cargo and associated industries to a gala dinner
at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol Cyprus. The evening’s
festivities included classical, easy listening and Rock
& Roll music with Andrew Oliver giving an excellent
impersonation of Sir Elton John. The firework display was
a ‘high light’ of the evening and put everyone
into the party mood.
The evening opened with a brief introduction from Polet’s
Marketing Director Mr Thomas Reilly. Mr. Kasahara, Polet’s
representative in Japan, then thanked and honored Mr Anatov
Karpov, General Director of Polet, with a speech and presentation.
David New of Air Cargo News also congratulated Mr Karpov
and his support teams on their 15 outstanding years in the
air cargo industry and expressed his appreciation to the
Cyprus based team for a well organised and successful evenings
entertainment. Mr Mikhail Aksarov of Polet Cargo Airlines
presented Mr Karpov with a plaque to honour his 15 years
as General Director of Polet and presented Mrs Anatoly Karpov
with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
The celebrations continued the next day with an afternoon
cruising on, and swimming in, the beautiful Mediterranean
waters and sandy beaches off the Bay of Akrotiri aboard
a luxurious katamaran.
A fun and enjoyable time was had by all.
