Humanitarian Flights

In addition to its commercial operations, Polet Airlines has been involved in a number of humanitarian projects with the United Nations and Red Cross. Airline has completed relief flights to The Congo, Tanzania, Africa, East Timo, Afghanistan, Japan and other countries. UN projects typically involve lifting tracks, water purification plants, medical supplies, excavators, cranes, bulldozers, trucks, and construction equipment.

Polet Airlines close relationship with the peacekeeping forces has grown over many years working together. Company is trying to keep the high commitment to United Nations aid relief and it has seen completing many missions that have provided important aid relief to nations in need. Experience gave Polet a commercial knowledge and ability to adjust the flight schedules immediately following many necessary flights. Best example was for Tsunami's terrifying destruction in Southeast Asia. Polet Airlines had dedicated aircraft for relief mission.


Commitment to International Space Agencies

Another factor that sets Polet Airlines apart from its competitors is its involvement in the space technology program. Polet Airlines is the only operator of AN-124-100 licensed by the Russian space agency for transport of satellites and satellite rockets. Space agencies are always interested in our aircraft for its uniqueness.

Polet is the primary carrier of the European Space Agency and also Rosaviakosmos agency's launch vehicles and other related space equipment.

One of Polet's most historic transportations was for the European space agency, the delivery of the satellite 'SMART-1' and additional equipment to the Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana. The prime contractor was the Swedish Space Corporation.
