Flight from Zurich, Switzerland turned out to be one of the very successful stopovers for Polet Cargo Airlines in 2004.
For this particular case it was necessary for loading experts and crew members to use heavy loading equipment with 12 tones capacity. This decision gave time braking record of 1 hour and 20 min from the moment when cranes lift the cargo, until it was ready for a take off.
Milenko Strika marketing and advertising Director for Polet Cargo Airlines came from the main commercial office in Cyprus to meet some of the clients. His comments were:
“For us the most important is cargo handling which directly affects safety of the cargo, crew members and the aircraft, while time breaking or anything similar is less important. Everyone could see very high experience of our loading masters for which we are well known. Taking this 91 tones one-piece heavy cargo like it’s a ‘regular’ cargo became our routine,” he added with a smile.
As there were many people on spot, from the client “Alstom”, broker “Natco”, ground handling “Jet Aviation”, we could see many other agents and brokers from Switzerland who were very interested in the AN124-100 capabilities.
